“The Weekly Boston Tip” Week of April 11th, 2011

by Katie Andrews

The Weekly Boston Tip: Look here for tips on navigating Boston’s fitness, wellness, and food market scene! Katie Andrews will provide a weekly idea to keep you busy – and well – in Boston.

Not quite ready for those outdoor runs along the Charles? Given our April 1st dose of wintry mix, it looks as though Boston may still be a few weeks short of true spring weather.

Luckily, the hub has many indoor options for getting your heart rate going! This week’s tip is for MetroRock, an indoor climbing gym located in Everett (with a secondary location in Newburyport). MetroRock offers day passes with rates as low as $15 a day for students (3 month, 6 month and annual discounted memberships also available for students). Not only do they offer a heart-pounding chance to go “on belay,” but you can also get some extra cardio in on their ellipticals, rowers and bikes while you’re there!
